Sketching out the various steps and procedures.

Figuring out which steps to include, how to include them, and how many panels of images there should be.

Further refining and figuring out how to depict the critical key steps while maintaining a cohesive story of the procedure to help guide the viewers attention.

Initial line work. Scanned and uploaded into Illustrator for final line work.

Finalized image. We were allowed to use one color for this project so I decided to emphasize the instruments as these were the main elements that were changing/moving throughout the panels.
